Job Description

Purpose of the job, key duties and responsibilities:

As a business analyst, this candidate is responsible for gathering users’ requirements for new system and/or system enhancement, analysis of requirements, plan and execute functional and system integration tests.  The immediate focus is to support the Regional IFRS17 project. The key role to be performed in the SDLC is to elicit and analyse requirements, conduct System Integration Test (SIT), and support Users’ Acceptance Test (UAT) and user training.

  • Gather, analyse and document users’ requirements based IT-approved methodology.

  • Based on the requirements, generate artefacts needed for solution generation.  These artefacts include application specification, integration/interface specifications, site-map and page-flow.

  • Plan and execute functional and System Integration Test (SIT).

  • Support the conduct of Users’ Acceptance Test UAT.

  • Conduct workshops for business users to identify pre-project requirements

  • Assess and manage vendors (according to project needs), focusing on communication of requirements, perform quantitative and qualitative analysis.

  • Develop insurance-specific SME knowledge for group-wide knowledge management 

Requirements & Competencies:

  • Strong business and IT skill sets specified in the above key duties and responsibilites
  • Possess good insurance (Life, General, Group) domain knowledge
  • Good analytical and communication skill
  • Good planning and organization skill
  • Good vendor management skill

Education and/or experience:

  • Graduate in Computer Science, Business Information System, or Finance/Insurance Degree
  • Certifications pertaining to Business Analysis area are added advantage
  • Min 3 years of working experience in IT and Insurance space. Working knowledge in user department is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge and experience on insurance products in key
  • Project working experience and/or good understanding of IFRS17 is added advantage
