Job Description

SUMMARY OF ROLE

Incumbent is required to involve in full cycle of SAP project implementation and support, users and vendors management & others related task assigned by Superior.

Responsibilities:

  • Support and manage Materials Management (Inventory Management, Procurement, Physical Inventory etc.)
  • Lead in the Problem Management support process as the SAP Subject Matter Expert (SME) in own area of expertise (SAP Inventory Management and Logistics) including 3rd party surrounding system, by responding, troubleshooting and fixing issue raised thru ticket logged cases or other channel, within the agreed SLA; timely, accurate, validate, close case, report status and etc.
  • Part of the SAP Level 2 Inventory Management Support, provide advice, guide, solution and proactively analyses impact cross functionally within and between SAP modules, and cross systems thru interfaces or integration with SAP Process Integrator (PI) as the SAP gateway and middle layer, include also BI for related information reporting and the POS system for the N2N retail flow.
  • Engage and lead discussion with Business to gather, manage and document requirements and/or issue, transform to solution and option addressing the need of Retail Industry.
  • As SAP Functional Analyst, propose solution and option by ensuring the solution meets business requirement which at same time offer flexibility, robustness for future expansion and ease of use. Most importantly working seamlessly N2N.
  • Proactively perform data analysis, review current system design, business process and flows, identify gaps and areas of improvement.
  • Proactively perform technology needs analysis, provide recommendation in improving the overall process flow.
  • Lead and involve in new initiatives and system implementation related to area of support.  Produce step by step plan and/or Project Plan depending on complexity of assignment and scale of initiatives or project.
  • Lead Change Request Management (CR) process of own support area, by delivering system solution, SAP configuration, documentation, business process, design document, development specification, training, UAT, deployment support and/or propose strategy or roll out method for the N2N life cycle implementation.
  • Once documented, ensure obtain signoff by all relevant approval stakeholder parties before proceeding with configuration/development.
  • Conduct and run end to end Testing, with close tracking of test data, test environment, test script, test cases, compile test results, deploy and manage fixes releases and obtain UAT signoff.
  • Manage timeline, contribution, action items and Risk Mitigation plan by all parties to ensure on time and quality deliverables.
  • Manage release of configuration to production environment and ensure stability of new roll out post production.
  • Ensure compliance in all internal and external dealings with internal customers, partners and regulators. Response timely to any Audit and Regulatory requirement request, from internal or external parties.
  • Work closely and manage external consultants and 3rd party vendors to ensure meeting end to end objectives, timeline and in good quality for realization within SAP or across systems.
  • Conduct hands-on and class room training, as and when required.  Produce slides/diagram and/or training material, where and when applicable.
  • Train, mentor, groom and share knowledge with juniors SAP and business users.
  • Provide progress updates and status report to Reporting manager or on request.
  • To perform any other work as and when required.
  • Any other IT relevant work assignment by Reporting manager.

Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years experiences of SAP Materials Management (MM) and/or SAP IS Retail skills.
  • Good experience and exposure to rest of SAP modules especially in the tight integration with financial posting and logistics business process.
  • Minimum 1 cycle of SAP Implementation and perform post production support.
  • Experience in End-to-End Retail solution, logistics integration with POS system and any 3rd party surrounding system.
  • Good trouble shooting experience in the areas of programming.
  • Knowledge of system development life cycle, preferably SAP implementation methodology.
  • Good functional, analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Independent, optimistic, process oriented and self-motivated.
  • Pleasant personality and able to guide and mentor team members.
  • Preferable experience in supporting Retail industry.
  • Certification of SAP example SAP Materials Management is preferred.
  • Advance MS Excel skill is preferred.
