Technical Services Consultant (Based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia)

Role Description:

  • Provide prompt customer support and technical issue resolution via e-mail, phone, and other electronic media.

 

Key Tasks/Duties:

  • Provide telephone and email support to internal and external customers
  • Perform efficient incident management while maintaining support quotas
  • Understand and assess customer-reported issues to determine prioritization
  • Manage and ensure documentation of assigned incidents, including internal and external communications 
  • Learn, understand, maintain and contribute to internal support processes
  • Analyze, develop, and improve internal processes
  • Maintain strong adherence to Service Level Agreements
  • Participate in special projects, as assigned

 

Educational Requirements:

  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field

 

Essential work Eeperience, knowledge, skills & abilities:

  • 2 to 3 years’ experience delivering solution support or solution implementation
  • Knowledge of networking and connectivity, clustering, multi-user environments, Lotus Notes, Microsoft Exchange, Operating System (Windows primarily), Database (MS SQL or other), Scripting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, research skills and resourcefulness.
  • Ability to work with a globally distributed team with minimum direct supervision.

  • Fluent in English
  • Able to speak, read and write Chinese
