SUMMARY OF POSITION:
An IT Business Analyst (BA) leads and delivers the analysis, design, configuration, customization, testing, deployment and support for applications within a specified business process area. Performs leading-edge work and develops new approaches/solutions. This role is viewed as an expert in complex application environments, encompassing both business process understanding and technical expertise. Recognized subject matter expert. Delivers functional leadership and is able to mentor others in the organization. May provide work direction / general guidance to other team members as a functional leader. The position is under the Global Customer Order Execution Team, working primarily for projects in Asia-Pacific region. This team delivers business value via projects and enhancement related to Sales Order management, Distribution (order fulfillment), product availability/sourcing/allocation, and customer billing.

Business analysis:
Takes responsibility for investigative work to determine business requirements and specify effective business processes, through improvements in information systems, information management, practices, procedures, and organization change. Applies and monitors the use of required modelling and analysis tools, methods and standards, giving special consideration to business perspectives. Conducts investigations at a high level for strategy studies, business requirements specifications and feasibility studies. Prepares business cases which define potential benefits, options for achieving these benefits through development of new or changed processes, and associated business risks. Identifies stakeholders and their business needs.
Business risk management:
Carries out risk assessment within a defined functional or technical area of business. Uses consistent processes for identifying potential risk events, quantifying and documenting the probability of occurrence and the impact on the business. Refers to domain experts for guidance on specialized areas of risk, such as architecture and environment. Co-ordinates the development of countermeasures and contingency plans.Requirements Definition and Management: Facilitates scoping and business priority setting for large or complex changes, engaging senior stakeholders as required. Selects the most appropriate means of representing business requirements in the context of a specific change initiative. Drives the requirements elicitation process where necessary, identifying what stakeholder input is required. Obtains formal agreement from a large and diverse range of potentially senior stakeholders and recipients to the scope and requirements, plus the establishment of a base-line on which delivery of a solution can commence. Takes responsibility for the investigation and application of changes to program scope. Identifies the impact on business requirements of external impacts affecting a program or project.

Takes account of relevant legislation.Other Skills:Should have done at least one end to end SAP implementationIn depth knowledge of FMCG business processKnowledge on batch management, Transportation(ECC), pricing, rebate is mandatory.Knowledge of SAP user exits, BAPI’s, and BADI’s is mandatory.Knowledge of ABAP concepts and ability to debug.Experience with smart forms and output determination.Preferred Experience with SAP Idoc processing/ EDI.Preferred Experience with third party interface with SAP.Experience in systems to support parcel shipping and e-Commerce.Experience with SAP Background job process and event triggers.Knowledge on SAP S4/HANA will be preferred but not mandatoryKnowledge in working with API’s will be preferred but not mandatory.
