Employment Type: Permanent Job Location: Kulim Hi-Tech Park, Kedah Job description: The engineer will be providing day to day PC Desktop / Laptop support. This role is a hands-on role where you are required to provide support, troubleshoot IT issues and be responsible for the assigned SLA. Responsibilities ============ • An outspoken person that can communicate across various departments to assignment goals • Assign tasks and monitor the progress of each team members • Reporting of daily attendance of team members onsite • Call for monthly meeting and send out meeting minute • Ensure cleanliness of the workplace and work area • Priority / VIP Call Service – candidate must be well trained & experienced service engineer who will standby to attend any service request call from priority member such as Director, Senior Director, Vice President, President and etc. • Day to day technical support and system administration • Install and configure new PC systems along with performing backup for end-user data • Analyze the problem and resolve the problem with minimum disruption to end-users • Monitor, maintain, assist, assign, respond, resolve and track team member performance • Manage the team’s roster, assignment of work and administration of team's leave/MC and Timesheet • Prepare and submit monthly performance reports of the team and present them during the team meetings. • Plan and assign tasks to team members, track progress and provide periodic updates to management. • Perform preventive maintenance and performance tuning on systems • Initiate and follow-up on critical vendor technical support requirements • Document system processes and procedures • Ensure person in charge of inventory kept proper records of hardware and software inventory with periodic audits • Escalation to a higher level when needed according to support matrix Pre-requisite: • Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field or the equivalent • Have a team and people management skill • 2 to 3 years of supporting desktop/laptop hardware/software • Proficient in supporting printers (local and network), AV equipment • Independent, self-motivated and dynamic personality • Client Oriented and leader • Good communication (both verbal and written English) skills • Sharp analytical mind and good troubleshooting skills • Must have a positive attitude and willingness to learn • Working knowledge of Windows Operation Systems (Win 7, Win 10) and Active Directory • Certification in PC Support will be an added advantage • Worked with an enterprise ticketing system before • Previous experience troubleshooting desktop, printer, and notebook issues • Previous experience in managing a team of IT Tier 2 engineers • Very strong user and support of MSOffice • Experience in supporting VIP users • Support iPhone
